iBurst - What Gives Red Ball its Bounce

Why all the buzz around iBurst?

Invented by the creator of the cell phone and developed specifically by Kyocera Corporation of Japan to process data, iBurst is the world's most advanced mobile wireless broadband system.

When an iBurst tower is installed, customers within a multi-kilometer radius have fully secure, mobile connectivity to data of any kind. Since it provides an incredible level of connected-flexibility and speeds of more than 1 Mbps, iBurst is perhaps the most important business tool to be introduced in decades.

How does it work exactly?

iBurst maintains extreme efficiency by using dedicated radio frequencies and advanced algorithms to securely transmit data to and from iBurst-powered devices. Adaptive array technology is used, which allows many antennas to operate as a single unit. This creates a personal “bubble” that moves with the connected device and allows for efficient delivery of data while reducing radio interference and increasing signal strength.

Spatial channelling, another property of iBurst's adaptive array, allows multiple units to broadcast and receive simultaneously on the same radio channel. This translates to much higher data rates and allows for intelligent targeting of signals through the combined power of the system’s twelve antennas.

The adaptive array also mitigates fading; a well known problem with non-adaptive antenna technologies where once strong radio signals black out, seemingly for no explicable reason.

The adaptive array focuses on each user and rejects all unwanted signals. Result? A significant increase in capacity and coverage while allowing many more users to be logged on simultaneously.

Yep...It's Secure.

An iBurst user is secure before a connection to a network is even made. Each iBurst mobile receiver and base station carries digital certificates with it. This means that rogue equipment cannot be set up, nor can device-posing take place in order to gain access to secure data. Only after this two-way hardware authentication is complete can a connection to an iBurst network be made. From there, protection in the form of robust, over-the air data encryption is provided. In addition, the adaptive, array-provided ‘bubble’ around each user-terminal makes signal interception extremely difficult, and arguably proves iBurst to be more secure than a wired connection.
